Why Are the City’s Few Churreros So Sugar-Happy?

Blondie and Brownie point to a welcome development at the Doughnut Plant: churros! While we agree that a good churro is hard to come by and we’re sure the Doughnut Plant’s interpretation (filled with goat’s milk caramel) is a worthy one, we’re still itching for Andalusian “porras” — large coils of fried wheat dough that aren’t as dense and aren’t pummeled by sugar like you see here.
