In between judging bake-offs, leading tours, and going on safari, Anita Lo has found time to sell her first cookbook. Here’s the spiel from Publishers Marketplace.

Chef Anita Lo’s COOKING WITHOUT BORDERS: Flavors for the New American Kitchen, with recipes breaking down the pre-conceived notions of what American food is and can be, as Lo has demonstrated while on Top Chef Masters and Iron Chef America, and at her restaurants Annisa and the Rickshaw Dumpling Bar, to Natalie Kaire in her first acquisition at Stewart, Tabori & Chang, at auction, by Laura Nolan at The Creative Culture.

When we e-mailed Lo to congratulate her and find out when she plans to reopen fire-felled Annisa, she revealed that last week she finally started construction after months of negotiations with her landlord: “If all goes well, we should be open sometime in February with a fresh face and a spanking new kitchen.”

Speaking of kitchen fires, the latest on Great Jones Café’s shuttering, according to an outgoing message, is that it will reopen December 29.
