We haven’t heard much from Geoffrey Zakarian ever since Town closed and he turned Country over to Blake Joyal and then Shlomo Kashy about a year ago. While his project in midtown’s Chatwal, the Lamb’s Club, has suffered delays he’s been a judge on Chopped, but now he’ll finally be back in front of the stove (and in front of the camera) when he takes on Iron Chef Morimoto on the May 2 episode of Iron Chef America (as opposed to Iron Chef UK, which premiered last night).
It’s not the only interesting thing coming up on the Food Network. We’re also informed that May 23 marks the premiere of Sex and the City Cakes: “To celebrate the release of Sex and the City 2, four cake designers create cakes inspired by the high style of Sex and the City’s four main characters, Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte.” Oh boy.
