Loreley isn’t the only beer garden hitting Williamsburg this summer. A finance-industry vet is bringing a Polish-style beer hall to North 4th Street, right near Berry Park and Radegast. The 70-person backyard with a deck and tables cut to accommodate the trees will be partly covered, but the equally sized interior should also be a draw during good weather and bad, thanks to thick, handmade wooden tables and exposed stone archways and walls.

By the end of the month, you’ll be able to enjoy fourteen Czech, Austrian, German, Russian, and, of course, Polish beers on tap here, and soon after that there’ll be sausages and traditional Polish fare. Owner Ralph Cymerkiewicz is a former financier who tells us he “never liked to work in an office.” As you can see in our preview slideshow, this is about as far from an office as you can get.
