The sister bar of Miami’s Santo isn’t the only interesting thing on the docket for Tuesday’s Community Board 3 meeting. It looks like Carlos Suarez of Bobo has designs on 18 Greenwich Avenue. The address (belonging to a party store) was the site of a fire earlier this year. We’ll let you know if and when Suarez tips us to his exact plans. Also of note, if we’re reading the agenda correctly: The Standard Hotel is requesting the removal of one of its liquor licenses on the eighteenth floor (home of the Boom Boom Room and new outdoor hipster hot spot Le Bain) and will try to replace it with a liquor license for a “Not-for-Profit entity to be formed by Andre Balazs” — presumably in an effort to solidify the Boom Boom or one of the other areas on the floor as a “private club.” Again, more details as we get them.
