According to NY1, Little Neck’s 24-hour Scobee diner has gone out of business after 50 years, thanks to a rent hike from $1,500 (whoa, that was a bargain!) to $10,000 per month. It’s the kind of news that makes us want to retreat to one of our 24-hour favorites, the Floridian Diner in Marine Park, to hoist a sympathetic Rob Roy. [NY1]
