Not long ago, we brought word that the ghostly Lola space would rise again as Tresanti, our city’s eleventy millionth brick-oven pizzeria. This morning owner Michael Longi was on the premises and told us he aims to open the second week of December. Longi is from a restaurant family; his father, Jerry, owns Primavera pizzeria on 53rd Street and Second Avenue. Tresanti will serve about fifteen Napolitano-style pizzas (many featuring housemade mozzarella), housemade pastas, and other red-sauce fare including some chicken dishes. And should you be in the market for a job, you can apply for front- and back-of-the-house positions by stopping in to 15 Watts Street, near Thompson, or by e-mailing tresantinyc@gmail.com.
