While McDonald’s uses a more-is-more approach to menu programming — Smoothies! Fancy coffee! — other fast-food chains are just sticking to what they know: satisfying America’s unyielding gluttony. According to an L.A. Times story, new and upcoming menu options from places like Burger King, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Taco Bell all sound awesomely unhealthy. BK has the Ultimate Breakfast Platter, which is scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, a biscuit, and three pancakes (with syrup, natch). Dunkin’ Donuts has those sausage balls that are wrapped with pancakes. Papa John’s is introducing a six-cheese, double-bacon pizza. And Taco Bell is developing products in tandem with Cinnabon(!). Actually, now that we’re thinking about it, we’re kind of looking forward to our next hangover so we have an excuse to try a Taco Bell–Cinnabon thing, whatever it is. [LAT]
