Today in Expansionville: Our favorite place for a garlicky, greasy lobster sandwich, Mooncake Foods, is building a new shop at 359 54th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, according to Midtown Lunch. Meanwhile, East Village drunk bait Pommes Frites has hatched a knock-off opened a second late-night location in Hoboken. Smart! Owner Chuck Seergy tells the Hoboken Patch that he chose it over a Manhattan location because “it has so many people who are like the people who walk along Second Avenue in New York.”
Correction: The owner of Pommes Frites in the East Village tells us he is not related to Fresh Pommes Frites in Hoboken.
