Turns out the W Hotel isn’t the only one that’s installed a boozed-up ice-skating rink. The folks at the Standard tell us they’ll open a rink of their own this Saturday. Sadly it won’t be elevated (it’s on the front plaza), but it’ll be an impressive 3,000 square feet, or 58-by-49. In addition to a winter oyster bar over in the Biergarten and a coffee cart and snacks adjacent the rink, Dan Silverman has created an “après skate” menu (that you can see here) featuring a burger, a dog, fondue, and spiked hot chocolate. Tickets will cost $12 (plus $3 for skate rental), and the rink will be open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. till midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. till midnight, and Sunday from 10 a.m. till 11 p.m.
