Getting Punchy

We’ve already told you about the Drink, the new Williamsburg bar from Frank Cisneros and Adam Collison, and now we’ve gotten our hands on the current list of seasonally changing punches. The boozy bowls are made with fresh juices and “housemade tinctures,” and are a bargain at $43 for approximately ten servings. As Collison informs us, “most of them include some sort of tea syrup,” like the Crusade, old monk Indian rum, rooibos Earl Grey tea, orange peel, clove, peppercorn, allspice, peppermint, and lemon.

Should that not be quite your cup of tea, bartenders can mix standard cocktails (or pretty much anything you request), as well. The bar is not yet authorized to serve food, but at some point early in the New Year it will introduce pickled bites such as green beans, cauliflower, dill spears, and hot okra (plus possibly pickled eggs) from Eric Mann of Prune, and things like smoked fish and housemade jerky from Matt Lang of Fette Sau. Glimpse the space above and if you care to, have a look at the current lineup of punches.
