Evidently Donatella Arpaia’s breakup with chef and business partner Michael Psilakis last year (and the subsequent closure of Anthos) hasn’t deterred the restaurateur from bringing a new (business)man into her life. She’s partnered up once again, this time with former tech-finance guy Ron Brannon. As Crain’s points out today, unlike past partners Michael Psilakis and David Burke, Brannon’s unknown status lets Arpaia be “the sole attraction.” The two plan to replicate Arpaia’s newest ventures, Donatella and DBar, possibly as far away as Hong Kong, and Brannon is also developing some restaurant-industry software that he’s testing out at the two venues while overseeing their operations.
