It’s nearly Girl Scout cookie time! But don’t expect a dozen-plus varieties this year: The gals in the green uniforms will be peddling just six flavors in an effort to boost sales and trim costs. The best-selling cookies (which are probably your favorites anyway) are still around, including Thin Mints, Samoas, shortbread Trefoils, and Tagalongs, a.k.a. Peanut Butter Patties. In a more insidious move, boxes will now cost $4 in most places (up from $3.50). Then again, if the goodies are more expensive, you might be less apt to sit around and eat an entire box. [WSJ]
