Kenmare Street Shuffle: Asiadog, Ten Degrees, Toby’s Public, and an ‘Elite’ Hotel Coming?

Real Deal echoes the Post in pointing out that Kenmare Street is the new restaurant row, and adds an interesting morsel: The Cleveland Place building that formerly held Le Jardin (and temporarily houses What Happens When) will be turned into an “exclusive, elite, members-only club” that will be “similar to the Soho House in the Meatpacking District,” according to a Real Deal source. Meanwhile, we’ve heard that East Village wine bar Ten Degrees had planned to take a former psychic’s den at 66 Kenmare and was poised to do so as recently as last week, but the latest Community Board 2 agenda has Trophy Bar and Brooklyn Flea sensation Asiadog going after the space (they’ve been looking for a downtown location for a good year now). Whoever succeeds in snagging it may have a neighbor in Toby’s Public House, which is pursuing a license at 86 Kenmare (formerly the Village Tart).
