The Post reports that the folks behind Nello (last seen making moves in Soho) have bought the East 61st Street building that houses nearby rival Serafina, and they plan to tear it down to erect a hotel with a cheaper Nello on the bottom floor. But Serafina, which owns buildings on either side, is going to try to use a 1983 city rule regarding building width to keep that from happening. [NYP]
