Tribeca Gains Brushstroke, Loses Il Matto

While the Times has a slideshow of some of Brushstroke’s dishes (dungeness crab steamed with rice, duck smoked with sencha leaves, etc.) and hears from David Bouley that the restaurant will be “Kyoto-style, seasonal; there are 20 seasons in Kyoto,” Eater hears that another Tribeca establishment, Il Matto has closed. So much for smoked salmon martinis. [Eater NY]
