Time to close yet another chapter in the Ryan Skeen story. This morning we heard from a source that the ex–Irving Mill, ex–Allen & Delancey, ex–5 & Diamond, and ex-Twitter chef was dismissed from FishTag last night. Skeen has yet to confirm, but reps for the restaurant send us the following statement.
Executive Chef Michael Psilakis has confirmed that Ryan Skeen, formerly Executive Chef de Cuisine at FISHTAG (222 West 79th Street), is no longer working at the restaurant. Skeen originally joined FISHTAG to assist Psilakis in the launch of the restaurant which opened in November 2010. The Kitchen will now be overseen by Psilakis and FISHTAG former Sous Chef Stan Matusevich. Psilakis and Skeen remain in touch and hope to work together again in the future.
