Is Sag Harbor’s Sen Sailing Into the Flatiron District?

Fans of the very small, very popular Sen in Sag Harbor know that its diminutive size can often mean long waits for a table at the sushi shop. Good news: After seventeen years in business, owners Jeff Resnick and Tora Matsuoka are apparently close to signing a deal for a space in the Flatiron District that’s twice the size of the East End original. Neither Resnick nor Matsuoka would comment on the news, but sources say the duo hopes to open in late November and will serve a menu that’s similar to that of the first Sen, focusing on a mixture of raw fish and cooked specialties like miso sea bass and red dragon soft-shell crabs, along with an extensive sake list.
