Going by the run of recent openings, you’d think all Wicker Park residents want to eat is health food. Sure, Earwax Cafe just closed, but it was quickly replaced by Native Foods Cafe, which is slinging out vegetarian and vegan fare to the masses on Milwaukee Ave. And let’s add another one to the list, as Prasino just opened up on W. Division this weekend. Unlike Native Foods, Prasino is a “sustainably-minded, eco-friendly restaurant.” That ultimately means that you’ll be able to order miso glazed tofu or a vegetable whole wheat flat bread if you’re feeling like keeping things light, or a beefy burger if you don’t want to. We have the menu below.

This is actually the third location for the restaurant; there are already two suburban locations. Like those, the establishment will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. That said, the Wicker Park branch will stay open until 2 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, and until 3 a.m. on Saturdays. Hey, not everyone craves a La Pasadita taco after a night out.

Perhaps the most striking thing about the restaurant is its massive, 100-seat patio. We have a feeling that it might get a little crowded on pleasant Saturday nights.
