Raise a glass tonight for Fonda Nolita: After a year and a half of lobbying for its beer-and-wine license, the Nolita taqueria began pouring suds today. “We can offer a full dining experience now,” Fonda’s owner, Dario Wolos, tells us, mentioning that the custom-brewed Mexican beers from Kelso will take a few more weeks to roll out. But for now, you can pop the top on a Carta Blanca or a Bohemia. Sangria, wine, micheladas, and up to seven proprietary brews (Mexican lagers, pilsners, and an ale) are on the horizon.
