A sad update.
The Grimaldi’s saga has taken a much more serious turn with the news that Russell Ciolli, son of Frank Ciolli, both owners of Grimaldi’s Pizza, died last Wednesday at 39. Earlier today, Grub received word that the opening reception for the new Dumbo location, scheduled for tomorrow morning, was canceled owing to a family tragedy. The obituary is here. Our condolences.
