Everybody wants a slice of the Ray’s name.
It seems the recent drama with Grimaldi’s Brooklyn is not the only pizza perturbation afoot. Following the closure a few months back of the true, original Ray’s on Prince Street, DNA reports that Famous Original Ray’s recently bragged on its Facebook page that it will soon move into the space at 465 Sixth Avenue that had been home to a branch of rival Famous Ray’s. The move comes shortly after a lawsuit filed by Famous Original Ray’s against Famous Ray’s, in which the company that owns Famous Ray’s agreed not to use the Ray’s name. [DNA Info, Earlier]
