Seriously prestigious!
Seriously prestigious!

A huge congratulations goes out to writer JJ Goode, co-author of many, many cookbooks and friend of Grub Street. His essay, “Single-Handed Cooking,” which originally appeared in Gourmet in 2009, has just been selected for inclusion in the latest edition of The Norton Reader, ensuring college kids everywhere will be able to read it for decades to come. But seriously, it’s a really prestigious honor. M.F.K. Fisher’s “Young Hunger” is another addition this year, and other authors in the collection include such up-and-comers as E.B. White, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Ernest Hemingway, Jonathan Swift, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Plato. [Official site, Related]
