Diner’s Journal says Mathieu Palombino’s latest restaurant, Bowery Diner, will open its doors for business this coming weekend, which is good news for those of us who have been anticipating the Reuben to be served at the “American brasserie” since last October. What else can you expect? DJ has the full menu, and it’s a mix of classic French brasserie food and American diner staples: That means steak tartar, whelks cooked “escargot-style,” macaroni and cheese, a Béarnaise burger, and bottles of Miller High Life for the kinda-unreasonable-sounding price of $6 each.
