A few weeks back, Steve Cuozzo slammed the Reynard for its obscure French-only wine list, something that other people might call: originality. Today, Lee Campbell, wine director at Reynard, tells Eater, ” … it’s like the old curmudgeon who doesn’t get where progress is going … I’m just flabbergasted that you don’t see what is going on in the world around you.” Even the Times chimes in: “Mr. Cuozzo’s tirade landed like a fat bug in a glass of fine Irouléguy blanc.” So, yeah, his “Sour Grapes” sound more like old, saggy, wrinkly ones.
