Back in May, we reported the Broome Street home to tiki bar Lani Kai was on the market and was being shown to prospective tenants. Julie Reiner told us it was business as usual at the bar, but today, the Daily News delivers the news that Julie Reiner’s cocktail den will close tomorrow night to make way for the Dalloway, a bar and lounge owned by Amanda Leigh Dunn and Kim Stolz, from The Real L Word and America’s Next Top Model, respectively.

The pair was granted the go-ahead for a liquor license from CB2 last week and have enlisted a chef from Boston’s recently closed Noche. The Dalloway is named in honor of Virginia Woolf, but likely (and sadly) will not be Woolf-themed, and don’t call it a lesbian bar: “I don’t care if you’re gay, straight or purple,” Dunn says, “I want you to be able to feel comfortable having a glass of wine at the bar by yourself.”
