It’s that time of year: Today the Michelin Guide announced this year’s crop of starred restaurants. This year doesn’t bring any changes at the very top, but the big winner looks to be Atera, which debuts with two stars. (If you thought it was tough to get a seat at the tasting counter before, just wait until the tourists see those stars … ) The other big new additions are Blanca, Torrisi Italian Specialties, and the NoMad, all of which debut with one. Some unexpected moves: Marc Forgione drops off this year’s list, but midtown spots Cafe China and Aquavit both got stars this year, too, proving that even Michelin isn’t immune to the city’s love of Asian and Scandinavian food. Check out the full list, straight ahead.
